I just played "Another Code: R" straight on for 9 hours and 41 minutes and finished the game with a total of 16 hours 35 minutes.
The game is very nice. Soundtrack, Presentation, Controls, Riddles, Story - all fit in my opinion.
There is only one negative point: Sometimeswhen your stuck on a riddle like the door locks and you have to start over Ashley keeps talking each time. No matter how many times you fail she will repeat the same clue over and over. It doesn't make sense, is annoying and interrupting the gameplay flow.
Especially in the riddle with the weights where you try to get the two keys for the tower it is illogical even.
You need to place minimum two weights in order to properly move the balance to your advantage. After placing one weight you can't be finished (no Vulcan logic necessary to dig that) yet Ashley complains every time after the first movement. It's illogical and annoying and is keeping you away from the actual riddle. Imagine you have to do it 10-12 times. Oh joy....
Even thou there is this small problem explained above this doesn't ruin the game in any way.
However, as mentioned before, the game feels just right. The story feels good and is like reading a book. You get to read really a lot!
Everything that was still not 100% clear about Ashley, her Mom and "Another" will be very clear after this game.
I even go as far as to say it surpasses its predecessor on the Nintendo DS "Another Code: Double Memories".
This game receives a clear 5/5 from me.
